NOTICE OF SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING – 8:50AM, SATURDAY 17 JANUARY 2015, COOK OVAL
At our first meet back, on 17 January 2015, we will be holding a very short Special General Meeting to put a special resolution to members concerning the change of our Association name from Belconnen Wests Little Athletics Centre Inc to Belconnen Little Athletics Centre Inc. The Special General Meeting will commence at 8:50am, at Cook Oval.
Background: In November 2013 a Special General Meeting was held to pass some administration type changes to our Constitution and to change the name of our Centre from Belconnen Wests Little Athletics Centre to Belconnen Little Athletics Centre. That motion was passed at the meeting and the Little Athletics ACT Board of Management agreed to the change.
Next Step: We now need to formally change our Incorporated Association name with the ACT Office of Regulatory Services. In order to do this a Special Resolution needs to be put to members at a Special General Meeting. In order to comply with the legislative requirements, the following Special Resolution will be put to those members who are in attendance at the meeting on 17 January 2015:
Twilight Meet - Thursday 11 December 2014

The roles are not onerous, and you will have a lot of fun working with like minded people sharing a common interest to better the experience of our children in the sport of athletics. Please consider volunteering for one of our Committee positions to ensure that our club keeps producing great little athletes for years to come. Please email Mel Duncan (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you wish to find out more or nominate for any of the positions. See current 2014 BLAC Committee Role Descriptions
